3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve the Service, personalize comparisons, process memberships and payments, communicate with you (service emails, billing, security alerts), review and publish retailer submissions, prevent fraud and abuse, analyze conversion funnels, and comply with legal obligations. We may also use anonymized or aggregated data to train or improve our AI assistant, Cove.
6. Affiliate links and commissions
Some retailer links on CompareCove are affiliate or referral links. When you click them, a third-party network may record that the visit came from us. If you make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This does not affect the price you pay or the order in which offers are ranked. You can read more in our Terms of Service.
7. AI assistant (Cove)
Conversations with Cove are stored so we can answer your questions, improve responses, and review quality. Do not share payment card numbers, passwords, health records, or other sensitive personal data in the chat. Cove’s replies are generated automatically and may be inaccurate; please verify important information directly with retailers or qualified professionals.
8. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Retailer submissions are kept while they remain relevant and may be removed if not re-confirmed after periodic review. Analytics and log data are typically retained for up to 24 months, after which they are aggregated or deleted. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, use the contact details below. You may also update your account or cancel your membership at any time from your account settings.
10. Security
We use encryption, access controls, and routine security reviews to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials safe and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. International transfers
CompareCove is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
14. Contact us
