A plain-language summary: CompareCove compares retailer prices by landed cost, we don’t sell the products, prices can change so always confirm at checkout, paid memberships renew until you cancel, and some outbound links earn us a commission at no cost to you. The full terms follow.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and CompareCove™ (“CompareCove”, “we”, “us”) covering the CompareCove website, mobile app and any related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, taking out a membership or simply browsing comparisons, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

2. What CompareCove is — and is not

CompareCove is an independent price comparison service for practical purchases across Home & Living, Senior Aid & Mobility, Pet, Stationery, Seasonal, Memorable Moments and Funeral & Memorial products. We rank listings by landed cost (price plus shipping and, where known, handling) so you can see the real total. We are not a retailer, funeral home, medical provider or financial adviser. We do not sell, ship, warrant or service any product listed, and we are not a party to any transaction you make with a vendor.

3. Price and product information

Prices, availability, shipping estimates, specifications and reviews shown in the Service are indicative. They come from retailer submissions, public retailer pages and automated refreshes, and can change or be wrong at any time. Always confirm the final price, shipping, taxes and return policy on the retailer’s own checkout page before you buy. We do not guarantee that any listing is the lowest price available anywhere, and we are not liable for pricing errors or for purchases made in reliance on stale data.

4. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, are used fraudulently, or create risk for other users or vendors.

5. Memberships, billing and cancellation

CompareCove offers a free tier and paid Compare Pro memberships. Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose — until canceled, and are charged to your payment method through our payment processor, Stripe. Introductory or promotional rates apply only for the stated period and only to eligible first-time members; renewals then move to the standard rate. You can cancel at any time from your account and keep access until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change plan prices or features with reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal. Current pricing and billing details are on the pricing page.

6. Membership tiers and access

Different tiers reveal different numbers of retailer offers and features. Free viewers see a limited set of offers per product; paid tiers reveal additional or all offers plus member-only tools. Access is personal to you — do not share, resell or automate access to gated results, and do not attempt to bypass paywalls or rate limits.

8. Retailer submissions and listings

Retailers may submit products, prices, shipping costs and product URLs. By submitting, you confirm you are authorized to represent the retailer, that the information is accurate and current, and that you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, format and syndicate it (including in comparisons, guides, emails and social posts). Submissions are reviewed before publication, may be edited for clarity, and may be removed at any time. Approved prices are periodically returned to the review queue for re-confirmation; listings that are not re-confirmed may be hidden or removed. We do not accept payment for improved ranking.

9. Reviews, feedback and user content

When you post feedback, testimonials, ratings or questions, you keep ownership of your content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, adapt and promote it (including anonymized or shortened versions on our site, app, emails and social channels). Do not post content that is false, unlawful, defamatory, misleading about a competitor, or that includes another person’s private information. We may moderate, hide or delete content at our discretion.

10. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, crawl, mirror or bulk-extract our catalog or comparison data; probe or interfere with our infrastructure; reverse engineer the Service; misuse our AI assistant to generate harmful, deceptive or spam content; impersonate a retailer or another user; or use the Service to break any law. We may throttle, block or terminate access to protect the Service.

11. AI assistant (Cove)

Our assistant “Cove” provides general shopping help and may produce inaccurate or incomplete answers. Treat its responses as suggestions, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice, and verify anything important — especially for funeral, memorial and mobility purchases — with the retailer or a qualified professional.

12. Sensitive categories

Funeral, memorial and senior mobility purchases are often urgent and personal. Local law, cemetery or crematorium rules, and medical suitability may restrict what you can buy or use. CompareCove does not assess suitability, fit or compliance for your situation; confirm requirements with the provider, your funeral director or a clinician.

13. Intellectual property

The CompareCove name, logo, wave mark, tagline “Find the Best Price. Save time.”, page design, guides and compiled comparison data are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may share links and short quotations with attribution; you may not copy substantial parts of the Service or use our branding without written permission. Retailer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

14. Third-party sites and services

Clicking a retailer link takes you to a third party with its own terms and privacy practices. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, products, payments or fulfillment. Any dispute about an order — delivery, damage, refunds, warranties — is between you and that vendor.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy or completeness of pricing data. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CompareCove will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost savings, profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold CompareCove harmless from claims, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

18. Privacy and communications

We process account, usage and submission data to operate the Service, including analytics that measure which pages and offers convert. By creating an account you agree to receive service emails (billing, security, submission status). Marketing emails are optional and can be unsubscribed at any time.

19. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may add, change or discontinue features, categories or plans. When we update these Terms we will revise the “last updated” date above, and material changes take effect for existing members at their next renewal or 30 days after posting, whichever is earlier. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) continue to apply.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in New York have exclusive jurisdiction — except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first; most issues are resolved quickly and informally.
